Bad Smell Makes KOPMA Uncomfortable

UNS provides KOPMA Canteen for students. KOPMA Canteen is divided into two areas, the top area and base area. The problem here is the base area. The condition of this area is not suitable for eating because there are garbage surround it.

Some people might not be comfortable to eat in a place with bad condition. This condition may prevent customers to eat there. The garbage surround it often give bad smell and makes a home for flies.

A group of English Department students said that they once got a bad experience in KOPMA Canteen. They couldn’t enjoy their meal due to the odor. They chose to eat in KOPMA Canteen because it was near their faculty campus. They had no choice to eat in other places because they had to attend the next class soon. They were forced to eat quickly with that smell around them.

This problem appears because no-one cleans the area from the trash. It would help if there are some cleaning services to clean the area. Students also need to improve their awareness to put their trash in the right place. Also, the stakeholders of the canteen should keep the place clean so they could keep the customer coming.
