Dewi, Do Something Persistently to Reach Her Goals

Dewi Sulistyowati, a young woman who’s born in Salatiga. Now, she is a fifth semester student, Chemistry Education study program, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. Since junior high, Dewi has been known as a persistent figure when it comes to scientific writing competition. Until now, Dewi is still active in the scientific writing.

During high school, she participated in several KTI competitions held by government institute. One of the KTI competitions she participated in, she won second place at the national level. Until she enrolled at the Sebelas Maret University, she continued to take part in scientific competitions, even she joined the SIM UNS. SIM (Student Scientific Study) is a Student Activity Unit engaged in scientific and research-based reasoning and research at Sebelas Maret University Surakarta (UNS) ). Dewi joined the SIM UNS organization with the aim of developing the quality of her writing and as a forum for channeling her interests in the scientific field.

In the third semester at UNS, Dewi joined the PIM UNS held by Sebelas Maret University by compiling a proposal from the five PKM fields. The PKM she was working on passed the first stage until the funding stage. Up to this funding stage, the PKM's real work process took months. She was willing to spend her semester break for PKM. Despite that, she remains enthusiastic in working on PKM. However, the PKM cannot proceed to the PIMNAS level. That failure instead made her even more fired up to take part in KTI competition again. After she failed to take part in PIMNAS, she took part in the KTI competition at the national level by submitting papers with the same title as PKM that had failed. In this race, Dewi won the 2nd place at the national level and received a ticket to continue to the international level in Dubai.

"The reasons why I really like writing KTI which have many strict rules are because I know this is my talent and interest. So, I have to develop and do it. If I don't, I definitely will regret it. I don't want my youth and studies to be in vain. I need experiences and achievements. Also, my assignment, especially when the lecturer asked to make papers, articles, reports, etc., is become easy because I am involved in the scientific writing ".
