Water Outage Annoys Kos Daffa's Boarders

ENGNEWS – Kos Daffa (a boarding house) experienced had water outage which annoyed all boarders. The incident made all the boarders confused how to get water for bathing and other needs that needed water. The incident occurred  on Sunday (09/22/2019) at Jalan Surya III, Kos Daffa, Jebres, Surakarta.

One of the boarders of Kos Daffa named Dewi said that the stalled water flow incident rarely happened before. So, the incident made all the boarders worried and panicked because the flow of water had outage at that time.  It was Sunday night and the next day all the boarders went to campus.

"I didn't take a shower when I went to campus" Dewi stated that due to the cessation of water flow that affected her.

The matter was discovered before the water flow stopped that there could be a power cut for several minutes. The case of the outage of water flow in the Kos Daffa had happened before, which was caused by a power outage for 5 to 6 hours. At that time, the need for water that was continuously used by at least 17 boarders became the main problem of stopping water flow. The need to use a lot of water was bathing and washing clothes. The case that used to be caused by a water pump that died due to a power outage coupled with the use of water with high intensity triggers the water to stop.

The case on Sunday night was different from the case that had happened before. Boarding keeper named Mr. Broto stated that the water in the water reservoir was shrinking due to the hot weather in Surakarta. It turned out that after being investigated by the Mr. Broto on Monday morning (09/23), the water was stopped not because of hot weather or due to a short power outage but because the water pump cable was broken. Mr. Broto as a boarding keeper took about 2 hours to solve the water problem in Kos Daffa.

Apart from the cause of the cessation of the flow of water in Kos Daffa, the incident was troublesome for all boarders. Almost all boarders fled to another boarding house to get water for bathing and other needs.
